Each block is a ONE mm flat sheet with ONE cm deep grooves, which can slot into other blocks. They can be made out of many materials and in any shape.

You CAN MAKE BLOCKS OUT OF RECYCLED JUNK FROM HOME (TOILET PAPER ROLLS, CARDBOARD BOXES, BUSINESS CARDS, METAL CANS…). 3D PRINT, LASER CUT, OR CNC YOUR OWN BLOCKS. (GET FILES BELOW!)

DXF block files

These are 2D vectors in DXF format for laser cutting the outlines of the pieces. Use 1mm thick material for best results!

3D block files

This includes 3D models as STL files for 3D printing all the pieces. The folder also includes the Fusion 360 project files for the pieces, with key dimensions parameterized. These project files can be easily modified to adjust the width of the pieces and slots (great if your printer has low tolerances), and can be remixed to create whatever new pieces you’d like!

Cardboard Cutter

These are the STL files for the cardboard cutting tool. The parts are press fit together, and use two #11 Xacto blades. I used these ones from Amazon.
